Peruvian Andean region will export 10,000 tons of avocados this year

Lima, Jan. 22 (ANDINA).- Gastón Benza Pflucker, President of Sierra Exportadora, announced today that Peruvian Andean region will export 10,000 tons of avocados during this campaign.

He stated that this amount will double last year exports of 5,000 tons.

The increase of Peruvian avocados exports, that in less of a decade surpassed 45 million dollars, shows a further increasing trend due to new plantations in the coast and a growing volume of avocados coming from the Andean region.
