Peru agro-exports rose 26.5% in January boosted by asparagus demand

Lima, Mar. 05 (ANDINA).- In January, Peruvian agro-exports reported sales of 220 million dollars, a 26.5 percent growth compared to last year, when they totaled 174 million dollars, the Ministry of Agriculture (Minag) said.

Peruvian asparagus led agro-exports with sales of 47 million dollars, where fresh asparagus exports represented 51 percent of the total and were purchased by the United States (14 million dollars) and Holland (3 million dollars).
