World's Largest Cebiche: Peru wants the Guiness World Record

Peru will need five tons of fish and seafood and 400 chefs in order to get back the Largest Cebiche Guinness World Record. This event will be held on August 30th.

This challenge is being organized and promoted by the Sociedad Peruana Cebiche más grande del Mundo (World´s Largest Cebiche Peruvian Society) and the Grupo Gastronomico Comunicadores, an editorial group that publishes books and magazines about the Peruvian Cuisine.

The organizers want to break the current Guinness Record that was established in 2007 by Mexican cebicheros. This record was previously in Peruvian hands since 2004.
