According to a survey of the Universidad Católica, cebiche is seen as the Peruvian National Dish.
In second and third place were the cuy chactado and the papa a la huancaína. Some other dishes that were mentioned in the survey were arroz con pollo, pachamanca, rocoto relleno and lomo saltado.
