Day of the Peruvian Coffee
The Peruvian Ministry of Agriculture announced that the fourth Friday of August of every year has been declared as Day of the Peruvian Coffee, because this product is recognized worldwide for its high quality and also because it is a source of direct and indirect employment for more than two million Peruvian people.
Peru is one of the top ten producers of coffee, it is the 6th worldwide exporter. Coffee production contributes greatly to the Peruvian economy, 95% of the production is exported, and it is considered as one of the Peruvian Flagship Products.
