Gaston Acurio was awarded at Madrid Fusion 2009

Madrid Fusion 2009, the VII International Summit of Gastronomy, was held from January 19th to 22nd. This prestigious summit gathered the world's best and renown chefs.

The world renown Peruvian chef Gaston Acurio, as well as other organizations as Greenpeace, FAO, Slow Food, FROM and Sea Food Choices, was presented an award because of his work in defense of the environment and biodiversity.

In this summit Pedro Miguel Schiaffino, another Peruvian renown chef, participated with the lecture "A stock of food to discover", where he talked about the new and endless possibilities of Amazonian products in gastronomy.
